IBM DB2, Solidcore, SWsoft and Xcelerix Bring Synergistic Solutions to Egenera BladeFrame Value Proposition

MARLBORO, Mass.—June 28, 2005—Egenera Inc., a leader in utility computing, today announced that IBM DB2, Solidcore Systems, SWsoft and Xcelerix Technologies have joined the Egenera Accelerate alliance program as Assured Solution Alliances members. The Accelerate program helps ensure that customers derive maximum value from an Egenera ® BladeFrame ® deployment by validating applications and platforms for interoperability.

IBM DB2

Each VPS performs and executes exactly like a standalone server for its users and applications as it can be rebooted independently. The light overhead and efficient design of Virtuozzo make it the right virtualization choice for production servers with live applications and real-life data. Through a joint alliance, SWsoft and Egenera are participating in co-marketing, sales opportunities and testing.
