Leading BMC Software Reseller Column Technologies Forms Strategic Alliance with Solidcore
Column Standardizes on Delivering Solidcore for Automated Change Policy Enforcement with BMC Remedy Change Management
PALO ALTO, Calif. and DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., June 25, 2007 — Solidcore® Systems, Inc., a leading provider of change control for critical systems, and Column Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of BMC Software infrastructure management solutions, today announced a strategic alliance where Column Technologies will standardize-on and resell Solidcore's S3 Control™ software. Column Technologies will deliver Solidcore's automated change control software with the BMC Remedy Change Management solution to help customers maximize in-process change, document and control emergency change, and eliminate ad hoc change.
Column Technologies joins Solidcore's Solidified-for-Change™ partner program, and will utilize Solidcore's new Solution Pack for BMC resellers, also announced today. The Solution Pack will help Column Technologies streamline and accelerate the deployment of Solidcore's S3 Control™ software through a quick-start toolkit, co-marketing funds, a return-on-investment (ROI) calculator, demonstration materials, and technical certification training. Also essential to the solution pack, and a competitive advantage for Column, is Solidcore's Change Enforcement Module for BMC Remedy Change Management. This gives IT organizations the capability to selectively enforce change policy based on approved BMC Remedy change tickets, approved change time-windows and programs authorized to make change.

Solidcore's S3 Control software ensures that only changes approved through the BMC Remedy Change Management solution are deployed on production systems and specific maintenance windows are enforced. Solidcore's S3 Control software can also identify out-of-policy changes and enable automatic ticket creation within the BMC Remedy Change Management solution.
