Syscom Teams with Solidcore to Deliver Automated Change Control Throughout Northern Europe
Solidcore Selected for Unique Change Policy Enforcement Capabilities that Drive All Change through Approved Change Management Process
OSLO, Norway, July 9, 2007 — Solidcore® Systems, Inc., a leading provider of change control for critical systems, and Syscom, a leading provider of IT products and services in Northern Europe, today announced a partnership where Syscom will resell Solidcore's S3 Control™ software to IT organizations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Syscom will deliver Solidcore's automated change control software with the BMC Remedy Change Management solution to help customers maximize in-process change, document and control emergency change, and eliminate ad hoc change.
Syscom joins Solidcore's Solidified-for-Change™ partner program, and will utilize Solidcore's new Solution Pack for BMC Remedy resellers. The Solution Pack will help Syscom streamline and accelerate the deployment of Solidcore's S3 Control™ software through a quick-start toolkit, a return-on-investment (ROI) calculator, demonstration materials, and technical certification training. Also essential to the solution pack, and a competitive advantage for Syscom, is Solidcore's Change Enforcement Module for BMC Remedy Change Management. This gives IT organizations the capability to selectively enforce change policy based on approved BMC Remedy change tickets, approved change time-windows and programs authorized to make change.
"Solidcore is an excellent complement to our portfolio by helping BMC Remedy Change Management customers ensure all change flows through an approved and documented BMC Remedy Change Management process," Pål Nome for Syscom. "Solidcore's capabilities for automatically preventing unauthorized change, and documenting all change activity on the infrastructure, will help us demonstrate new levels of ROI for our BMC Remedy Change Management customers."
IT organizations are challenged to improve system availability, streamline compliance and reduce IT costs by maximizing the amount of in-process change, tracking and documenting emergency change, and eliminating ad hoc system changes. A combined BMC Remedy and Solidcore solution enables Syscom customers to enforce BMC Remedy as the authorized change management process while also obtaining detailed visibility and control over who is making change, what is being changed, when change is occurring, and how change was made. Solidcore's S3 Control software ensures that only changes approved through the BMC Remedy Change Management solution are deployed on production systems and specific maintenance windows are enforced. Solidcore's S3 Control software can also identify out-of-policy changes and enable automatic ticket creation within the BMC Remedy Change Management solution.
"Teaming with Syscom is key to the expansion of Solidcore's business in Northern Europe," said Shannon Williams, general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Solidcore. "Working closely with Solidcore, Syscom will help leading European enterprises improve the availability of their critical systems, better document compliance, and reduce IT costs by driving all change activity through the BMC Remedy Change Management process."
