Solidcore Hosts Web Seminar on PCI DSS Auditing and File Integrity Monitoring Requirements

Trustwave Speaker to Discuss Managing Compliance with PCI DSS Section 11.5

CUPERTINO, Calif., June 25, 2008 – On Thursday, June 26, 2008, Solidcore® Systems, Inc., the leading provider of software to detect and prevent unwanted change, will host a Web seminar to provide expert guidance on the difficult auditing and file integrity monitoring requirements within the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The Webinar will help companies better understand the current PCI DSS compliance challenges, and will provide best-practices and a solution for overcoming them.

Section 11.5 of the PCI DSS states, "Deploy file integrity monitoring software to alert personnel to unauthorized modification of critical system or content files; and configure the software to perform critical file comparisons at least weekly." In this Web seminar, attendees will learn why the file integrity monitoring and auditing requirements are so difficult to satisfy and how to solve them. You will learn from Solidcore about the advantages of a "continuous" file integrity monitoring approach and how to automate the production of audit trails and alerting to ensure continuous PCI DSS compliance validation.

Attendees will also learn that in light of recent highly-visible data breaches, many retailers are also looking for solutions that go above and beyond the monitoring requirements. This Web seminar will also cover the growing need to "harden" or lock down critical payment systems, such as point-of-sale applications. Attendees will learn how to prevent unauthorized changes to these critical payment systems, and learn how to ensure only pre-defined, "approved" processes run on the point-of-sale device.
