Abstract
Sarbanes-Oxley and
other government and industry regulations
have turned up the heat on executives to
ensure that business processes are validated
and accurate. This increased pressure has
impacted everything from operations and
financial reporting to information technology
management.
The impact on IT has been
especially significant, because it has been
costly for companies to validate their IT
systems are doing exactly what they are
supposed to do and nothing else. To date,
the solution for this problem has been to
periodically monitor the state of critical
servers and try to identify changes made
to them. This reactive approach then calls
for the remediation of any unauthorized
or unintended changes. While this solution
has satisfied auditors, the cost is outrageously
high, because so much of the process is
manual.
Leading companies are beginning
to address this cost by leveraging technology
to enforce closed loop change management
processes that automatically correlate and
reconcile approved changes with deployed
changes. Only once this is in place can
companies achieve compliance sustainability.
This webinar will explore the path towards
compliance sustainability and the technology
that is enabling it.
By attending this webinar
you will learn:
- Why server state validation
is critical for regulatory compliance
- How to measure the costs
of periodic audits and remediation
- The three stages of
server compliance management
- How compliance can be
sustained and change control enforced
- How to determine which
servers need to be controlled in real-time
