POS Check & Control

Solidcore POS Check & Control secures retail store systems and allows merchants to meet the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance requirements – from the point-of-sale (POS) device to the data center.  POS Check & Control provides malware prevention, data protection, change policy enforcement and configuration assessment.

• PCI DSS - POS Check & Control meets the requirements for PCI DSS file integrity monitoring and anti-virus protection with the lowest overhead and least impact to performance and operations for retail systems. Dynamic whitelisting takes an inventory of the POS system from applications to system objects, and ensures that only authorized software and code is allowed to run. The solution prevents all unauthorized changes to a POS system, and provides the protection from malware, scripts, binaries and drivers that could harm the availability, security and compliance within retail store environments.

• Disk and Memory Protection – POS Check & Control protects critical applications, files, configurations, and directories from view, and from being altered or hijacked. While on disk or in memory, data can be protected from users and applications that do not have the authorization or credentials to view or make changes.

• Enforce Corporate Standard – POS Check & Control enforces the corporate standard and can “lock-out” any local access attempts to make changes to the system. This includes blocking a locally logged-in user from running code from an unauthorized source, such as a USB key. Trusted sources or applications can update or make changes as needed without the need for scanning or accessing a centralized database.

• Real-Time Reporting – POS Check & Control provides reporting and alerting to give merchants real-time visibility to information, and the assurance of continuous PCI DSS compliance. This includes reporting on the deviation from corporate standards of “at-risk” field devices or systems.
